Human Resources Generalist

StraCon Services Group (StraCon) is seeking a Full-Time HR Generalist. The HR Generalist will report directly to the Director of Human Resources and will independently performing a variety of tasks in support of the company’s overall strategic objectives.  The Candidate must possess the highest level of professionalism and include strong organizational skills, communication skills, work ethic and self-motivation. The HR Generalist will be responsible for, but not limited to the following.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local employment laws along with company policies and procedures
  • Manage the new hire process which includes processing job requests, offer letters, applicant tracking, employment verification, and onboarding
  • Administer new employees with virtual onboarding and new hire orientation
  • Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs
  • Maintain electronic personnel files and HRIS records in compliance with applicable legal requirements
  • Schedule, track, and follow-up with employees and managers to ensure employee reviews, required training, corrective actions and other HR tasks are accurate and completed on-time
  • Provide support and guidance to employees and managers using StraCon’s HRIS as needed
  • Provide support and guidance to employees and managers on all HR policies and procedures
  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with managers to discuss project status and corporate objectives
  • Prepare and present HR metrics including employee retention, engagement, and overall employee experience
  • Support payroll and benefits administration process as needed
  • Performs other HR duties and projects as assigned
Experience Requirements:
  • At least five years working in Human Resources is required.
  • Experience with HRIS system(s) is required, Paycom experience is preferred
  • Experience working for a DoD contractor is preferred
  • Must possess knowledge of human resource policies and procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing is vital in this position
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
 Security Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship required
