StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a full time Systems Administrator.  The Systems Administrator will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following requirements:

Task specific system experience, to include: Design, Development, Test and Evaluation, Network Protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and Linux and Windows based operating system.
  • Windows Domain Administration - Active Directory Management and GPO Development
  • Windows Patch Management and WSUS Management
  • Server Development (Research, Install, and Configure new Server technologies)
  • HBSS Administration - Policy Development and Management and Point Product Management
  • Application Management - HP Load Runner and Blade Logic for Network and Server
  • ACAS Administration and Management, Configure Scans
  • Securing and DISA STIG Windows Servers
  • VMware Vcenter Management - Troubleshooting and performance monitoring of VMware infrastructure from both the guest OS and Hypervisor layers. (experience with vSphere PowerCL, ESXI CLI and powershell scripting)
  • Familiar with networking concepts including port groups, VLANs, load balancing, storage management, OS alignment, provisioning, snapshots, configure switches, routers, TACLANES. Current working knowledge of chassis systems for Dell, Cisco and Pulse Secure. Current working knowledge of storage systems EquilLogic and Compellent.
  • OS Administration - Maintain authorized software (operating system and applications) installed on servers; oversee the running of applications to identify and resolve problems. Maintain DNS, Domain Controllers, Active Directory. Installation and configuration of RedHat and Microsoft Operating systems in an enterprise environment. Responsibilities include operating system updates, patches, DoD STIGs, and configuration changes related to issues affecting development and testing environments.
  • Knowledge of backup systems and software.
  • Strong problem solving, conceptual and analytical skills. Server and system performance tuning and monitoring.
  • Communicates well with support, developers, administrators, and management.

 
Experience/Educational Requirements:
 
  • Five (5) years of task specific project Computerized system experience, to include: Design, Development, Test and Evaluation, Network Protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and UNIX and Windows based operating system. 
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completed the following certifications within one and a half year after assuming duties: Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) (Previously known as Certified Software Engineering Professional (CSEP)), or with COR approval complete a vendor/platform specific certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Sun Certified Professional (SCP), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), other.
